Looking to add a bit of sex appeal to your look this season? We're all about a good slit. And contrary to popular belief, there are ways to wear one without looking too Jessica Rabbit. Leg-baring slits gained popularity in the 1970s — designers like Halston, Ossie Clark, and Givenchy celebrated the female form by cutting out a sliver of fabric, letting the wearer show a little gam while still leaving a bit to the imagination. This season, we saw slits being shown on the runways by Jason Wu, Altuzarra, Salvatore Ferragamo, and more — what's interesting is that it can be an incredibly saucy look, but it can also be a subtly sexy one with a lot of polish, depending on how you style it.
