How Would YOU Wear It? Erika Christensen

You know by now that I am loving skinny belts, but not on actress Erika Christensen! Leaving The Ivy in LA, she looks disheveled and uncoordinated. The Ivy is where you go to have your photo taken by paparazzi, so why would you look like a mess?

I would have stuck with one look. First I would have ditched the skinny belt as it breaks up the ensemble in an unflattering way. I would have also worn less trendy sunglasses - say a pair of modern aviators a la Ashley Olsen - because the Wayfarer look has been beaten to death. I dig the Marc Jacobs jelly flats and gold necklace so I'd keep those.

um, the only correct answer is NO. not for her. her bust is spilling out, the belt in all its tightness makes it look like its spilling out even more, the sunglasses doesnt even look good on her face shape, and dont get me started on the color upon her skin. its like the shoes are the only really fashionable article in the outfit, after the dress had it been cut more flattering for her body type, and the color of the dress upon her skin looks gorgeous. just fix the fit of the dress =)

Probably just like that minus the sunnies, she lookks comfortable in what she's wearing so I think she looks fine.

im pissed. i bought black wayfarers about a year ago and now all the scenester celebrities are wearing them with their skinny jeans and dirty hair. i didnt jump on the trend, i was way ahead of the trend! and they look good on me. i hate how celebs are so effing trendy and have no personal style

I too would just lose the belt and wear a long necklace (like a lavaliere), I'm not a fan of jellies so I'd go with white flats instead.

I have this exact dress. (If you're wondering, it's 39.99 from express and so versatile!) First off--I never EVER put a belt with it. It hangs perfectly, not too clingy, not bloating like other trapeeze styles, so why bother with the belt? Every time I wear it people stop me and ask about it, can't believe she ruined it so much! And um, maybe it's ok in Hollywood--but who wears a navy dress w/ satin trim out to lunch in August?
