Thanks to Kate Moss and Sienna Miller - during her boho days - I really appreciate the hippie-chic look. Unfortunately, Kimberly Stewart, here in Santa Margherita for her dad's wedding, has over-accessorized her boho look so she looks beyond trendy. It would have been just right had she gotten rid of and changed a few items.
I would have ditched the skull scarf as that accessory has been beaten to death by Nicole Richie and crew. I like the fringe boots, but I would have opted for a brown pair a la Rachel Bilson. Everything else - the cuffed denim shorts, the aviator sunglasses, the Chanel bag and off-shoulder blouse - really convey the boho look well. Let's just hope she changed into a more fancy outfit for Rod's wedding!
How would YOU wear it?
um, i wouldn't. hippie chic is the ultimate oxymoron.
I would wear the top and the shorts and get rid of everything else. I think it would look cute with a pair of gladiator sandles for some reason. Maybe I am wrong.
always looks tres trashtastic. She can never pull off one look she always has too much going on in one outfit.
I kind of like this look. I think she looks cute.
Ditch the boots for some simple flats or Grecian style sandals and swap the skull scarf for a more simple headband (still worn across the forehead).
i think her ensemble is just too busy. and you kind of have to stick with a theme. the bag, boots, top, shorts, and scarf might coordinate independently, but not all together! if your point is to wear things that contrast with one another, that's fine, but just show off those two things. you don't need a Jackie O bag, paired with Native American Fringed boots, Daisy Duke shorts, and a hippie scarf with no purpose. it's not like it's keeping sweat off her forehead.
I would lose the purse, go for something like a small clutch, lose the scarf, like you said. The sunglasses are okay, the shirt is okay, I would pair the shirt with a short white skirt instead. Maybe ballerina flats that would compliment the clutch. Just my opinion!
agreed, Fab...definitely ditch that skull scarf..i'm so sick of seeing those! That top looks cute with the boots though! I probably wouldn't be able to pull off this look...but she looks good!
i like the top with teh jeans but the boots ewww
i agree "any". i like the top and jeans but the boots are heinous, a pair of haviana's would have been much cuter!
I think Kimberly just killed the "boho chic trend."
I think a differnt pair of shoes would do for that outfit, I quite like it...pairing informal with a kinda dress-up clutchy thing.
With jeans and heels, maybe silver, with a silver chain belt. Fix the hair girl! With a blue or contrast scarf.
NO!
I'd swap those boots for either cream canvas t-bars or blue spotty espadrilles and wear that scarf round my neck tied at the back. Then get rid of that hideous bag and find a patchwork swag and loose fabric flower for my hair. Mwah x
I agree with her loosing the head scarf. But I would def opt for another bag, something less elegant looking maybe. I like the boots though.
That outfit is hideous. It has too much going on.
Ick, heck noj!
Umm, no, I meant.
i'd get rid of the bandana and the bag. brown boots instead of black would be nice but not necessary.
i love it...
i actually like it..looks like she has that laid back cali style to pull it off..like everything but not the purse doesnt really go with the whole hippie vibe n maybe instead of the bandana headband just go with more of a simple one around the head..but overall cute
