Diane Kruger left her hot man Joshua Jackson at home and slipped into something glamorous for last night's "A Night of a Thousand Lights" party to benefit St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in NYC. She wasn't all by her lonesome, however, as she met up to make model-y faces for the camera by the side of Michelle Monaghan among others. Diane is quite the red carpet pro these days, but she always seems to keep it interesting and help light up the night.
Marchesa, Marchesa, Marchesa. It was all about Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig's creations last night at A Night of a Thousand Lights. The party, which benefited St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in NYC, was attended by none other than fashionable, Marchesa-clad ladies. Diane Kruger, Iman, Michelle Monaghan (whose swirly accordian-pleated dress I want), Joy Bryant, and Mary Alice Stephenson all schmoozed, wined, and dined to the background of a Marchesa fashion show. Tired of hearing me say Marchesa? See the night's events for yourself.

Last night's America's Next Top Model took a little break and recapped all the previous episodes. My favorite part was when guest judge and model Paulina Porizkova ripped the models' looks apart upon their first meeting. She told Amis that she has bad skin (ouch), and that Dominique looks like a drag queen (double ouch). You can guess from this picture what she said to Fatima . . . that she looks like Iman. Quite the compliment. All the other models must have been fuming. Just to throw in a little cruelty, Paulina pointed out that Fatima's eyes are much smaller. 'Tis true, but after being called a baby Iman, they may as well have ended the contest and given Fatima the $100,000. Both women are Somalian; do you see the uncanny similarities?
Take it from Diane von Furstenberg when she says, "Who better than Simon to write about glamour and eccentricity? He is both!!!!"
In a nutshell Eccentric Glamour: Creating An Insanely More Fabulous You ($16), is filled with tips and advice from eccentric style guru Simon Doonan.
A seasoned fashion mastermind with over 30 years experience in the industry, Doonan (pictured left in Lanvin pumps), offers a comical and upbeat attitude on how to create your own unique and eccentric look. The newly released book also includes one-on-one interviews with some of most coveted eccentric style icons including Iman, Lucy Liu, and Tilda Swinton.
Her new line, Global Chic, is inspired by African countries, India, and Bali, as well as pieces from her personal collection, including her vintage engagement ring from husband David Bowie. The line will be available HSN.com on Dec. 15.
The Olsens, the Kates, Eve, Dita, Liv, Jennifer Connelly and more came out in support of Seventh on Sale last night in NYC. The ultra all white Olsen look was an excellent contrast to many of the deep colors or all-black attires. MAC ladies, Eva and Dita went glam and gold while Jennifer and Kate went red. Once again Kate Moss makes anything look amazingly stylish. Fashion designers like MJ, DVF and Francisco Costa were also in attendance. Blake Lively lived it up like a real Gossip Girl who gets to attend events with Anna Wintour. Seems a bit more Blair-like than Serena but we're loving it!
The dinner gala took place at NYC’s 69th Regiment Armory. The event is in support of 7thonsale which is an auction on eBay or shopping in store in NYC for designer clothes and items worn by celebrities. 100% of the proceeds go to those in need of help living with HIV and AIDS. Sounds like a great cause so it's no wonder it has so many supporters.

Pop quiz: Why is Iman smiling?
- A) Because she's at Glamour's Women of the Year Awards.
- B) Because she eats cookies in bed with David Bowie every night
- C) Because she's 52 years old and is still an incredible knockout
- D) All of the above
I vote for D. Joking aside, what do you think of the look she sported last night? Giggle isn't crazy about her hair color here, but I think she looks amazing. What say you?
Last night the charity events continued as Conde Nast hosted the 4th annual Black Ball concert in NYC for Keep A Child Alive. The event raised $1.5 million for AIDS-infected adults in Africa and India. As rumored, Gwen, Alicia and Sheryl all performed at the event where Bono was honored for his AIDS awareness campaigns. Conde Nast has kept Gwen super busy as she was at another event for the publishing house last night. I'm beginning to wonder if this woman ever takes a night off.

Last night, on the cusp of Fashion Week, model Alek Wek introduced her eponymous autobiography at a soiree. I've always thought she has a striking face with beautiful features and a lovely, deep complexion.
If your skin is as deep as Alek's, you already know that finding suitable makeup can be a challenge, to put it mildly. Sad to say, lots of cosmetic companies don't make foundations in appropriate shades, but others do—and because many are specifically made for women of color, they're more likely to have nuanced and flattering shades.
