Paul Andrew isn't just J.Crew's latest collaborator, he's also our new favorite shoe designer. The CFDA top prizewinner designed five different wearable silhouettes for the preppy-with-a-twist retailer, and we were lucky enough to slip our feet into them.

Of course, we took to styling outfits right away — all of which started with an eye-catching foundation of fringe ankle-straps, snakeskin accents, or vibrant suede. Yep, these shoes come with all of Spring's latest shoe trends, and they gave us an instant power boost as soon as we slipped them on.

Scroll to see how we used the Paul Andrew x J.Crew statement pumps to infuse our own signature styles with a little more color and kick, and don't forget to check out the rest of the offerings from J.Crew and CFDA's Spring collaboration, available for preorder and to shop in stores and online June 3. Spoiler: it's chock-full of jewels and textured sweaters that would pair perfectly with the shoes you're about to obsess over.

"As a short fashion editor who rarely wears heels, it's not often I fall in love with strappy statement pumps, but the vibrant orange shade of these snakeskin lace-ups ($598) caught my eye, and I couldn't wait to make them the focal point of my look. I made a tailored jumpsuit casual by adding a simple white tee and piled on accessories that complemented but didn't take away from the shoes."

"These turquoise shoes ($450) speak for themselves. The bold blue color and swishy fringe were a loud combination, so I knew my outfit had to let my heels do the talking. I chose J.Crew separates — including the Rayner culotte-style jeans ($138) and a classic Saint James striped t-shirt ($90) — that kept the blue theme going throughout my entire look."

"I chose a classic red pump ($398) because I wanted to add a pop of color to my otherwise neutral outfit, which included J.Crew's classic white button-down ($70). An orangey-red hue always gives me a bit of a confidence boost, which makes sense since it's also considered a power color. Plus, you can't go wrong with a pointed-toe style — it goes with just about anything and is perfect for elongating my short legs."
