Jean Paul Gaultier Printed Slip Dress: Love It Or Hate It?

I had a roommate in college who adored Jean Paul Gaultier's mesh tops. He is a bolt of the exotic and whenever I see his designs I think of her (tear). But his unique creations certainly aren't for everyone. RCLdesigngirl posted this in the Love It or Hate It? group and I was wondering what you all thought. I think it is divine. The mesh cut out back is super sexy, and the print adds character to a simple design. Thoughts?

Its a pretty dress, i love the sheer sleeves and the open back, also the pattern is adorable; yes i would wear something like this.

i'd definitely wear this dress. just NOT with those shoes :) maybe with some daintier, prettier pumps like these:

It's not my style but I like it. The pattern across the sheer fabric gives it a really rock feeling in my mind. I think that's why I don't like the way the model is showing it... I'd like to see this dress on somebody with really rockin' hair -- wild colors, a spiky angular cut, improbable extensions, or at least glossy black instead of blonde.

the dress pattern and style is adorable but think it would better sleeveless and the back top of the dress come down from neck to armpit. the model does not mesh with the dress and the shoes are a bit much.

I get frustrated by the number of dresses designed for women who don't need to wear a bra or can get away with those little pasty things!

The dress is very pretty and colorful, love the back too, BUT she looks unflattering from the knees down, maybe this length is just not for this model, just something is not looking right, could be the shoes with this dress????? Although the shoes are not bad looking. When I see something like this I think we ladies have to think about the structure/shape of our legs. A nice high sandal could maybe be more complimentary.
