Hello Nasty: Jewelry Made Out of . . . Human Teeth and Hair!
People fashion some crazy things, and human teeth and hair jewelry are the latest materials being used. But Australian
Polly van der Glas has some fans — she received the Craft Victoria Fillipo Raphael Fresh! Award for her work. All sterling silver pieces are hand-made in Melbourne and the designer is currently taking donations for teeth, since they're hard to come by. But don't fret, the molars are sterilized and the hair is locally donated or sourced from India or China. Does that put your mind at ease? If you can stomach it, proceed.

It's what the fashionable homeless are wearing this season.
1I don't know what's more gross, the actual use of teeth or the condition these teeth are in!
2It kinda freaks me out.
3It's a little weird and disgusting, but it's really creative and unusual. My stomach complained, but...yeah, I liked it. The oxidized cast human hair plait earring (6) would be the only one I'd use, and in fact I'm in love with it!
4Who would want to wear human hair and teeth? I know I wouldn't!
5I wonder if the artist knows that they are using a long Masonic tradition. Though in the Mason's they use gold and animal teeth. I wouldn't want to copy that sect, that's for sure!
6ohhh disgusting... would anyone really wear this? I surely will never!
7eww
8Unique, that's for sure. I guess it's no different than using ivory or shark teeth, but that doesn't mean it's anything I'd wear.
9I would wear that ring, point it at people, and bellow, "By the power of Greyskull!"
10eww to the hair stuff. eww.
11Why would it put me at ease that the hair came from poor women in China and India?
12it's a unique idea and definitely out of the box but... very unsettling, so a nay from me.
13Haha SKG! You should wear it at your showing this weekend. Good luck with that!
14Lol, spacekatgal!
These are not for me. :[
