Once called "the Fabergé of our time" by no less than Diane von Furstenberg, Joel Arthur Rosenthal (or JAR) is known for his exquisite fine jewelry and objets d'art created only for handpicked clientele in his Place Vendome atelier. But now, over 400 of his pieces will be on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC, and what an exhibition it is! Flower petals drip with rubies as though they are wilting from the sheer weight of the stones. A zebra mane glitters with diamonds, while a ram gets its wooly fur out of strings of the most delicate pearls. Click through to see more of his stunning pieces, and see the exhibition if you can in person beginning on today, Nov. 20.
