Naturally, when we think of classic red carpet beauties, Julianne Moore and Michelle Dockery end up at the top of our lists. So it was no surprise that when both actresses stepped out for the Paris premiere of Non-Stop, each chose a truly elegant black dress. Julianne kept covered up in a short-sleeved gown with a subtle leg-flashing slit and finished with an equally polished pair of platforms, a coordinating minauderie, and a gorgeous cocktail ring. Meanwhile, the Downton Abbey star stayed true to her ladylike sensibilities in a halter-style, knee-length black Lanvin sheath dress cinched at the waist with a wide leather belt, and finished with an understated pair of Rupert Sanderson pumps and a Lanvin clutch.

We're not quite sure who copied whom, but we do know that the results are très chic. Now, the tough part — who wore hers better?
