Molly is all ears down in LA at the 2009 Winter TCAs. And who did she get an earful from regarding a specially designed Vegan shoe line? We know her, we love her hair, and she's Ellen's main squeeze — Portia de Rossi. An avid animal protector, Portia was promoting her new show but also divulging juicy details. She also swore she tries to wear leather as little as possible. No further details, but we're all ears now.

Well I have to say that it is easy to get shoes made from faux leather. I thought Portia was writing a book on her eating and puking issues. Anyway, she says "as little leather as possible" duh, then they are not animal friendly....I me3an, why are rich and famous people always dumber than the rest of us?? She is true to her hair color! It's not gimmicky, kristin, it's a label that lets us know it's vegan. Foods AND products of all kinds can say "animal friendly" and it doesn't necessarily mean "animal-free." Meanwhile, if a product pledges that it's VEGAN, it's clearer what they mean.

I hate when stars have 'vegan' shoe lines. Didn't Natalie Portman do this and fail? Anyway what is the difference between a 'vegan' shoe and a 'vegetarian' shoe. Do some shoes have cheese or egg in them? I'm assuming they don't. Why don't they just call these shoes 'animal friendly' or something less gimmicky.

I'll judge when I see the shoes...Nat's were pretty, but OI at the price tag. I also tried a pair on and they carved my feet to ribbons.
