Kate Hudson's Winter White Fur: Love It or Hate It?
A stark white fur coat is quite a way to make a statement when it's nippy. Kate Hudson made a bold appearance in her furry outerwear at Dolce & Gabbana's Pre-Fall 2008 Collection event. I've always thought that Kate wears cold-weather clothing really well, but this is taking it to a highly sophisticated, and dramatic, level. I heart, do you?

I am not a fan of fur (even faux fur), but there is something about this whole look that I kind of like.

She married her ex in the wintertime too, so she can really dress up for the cold weather well. I love this look on her!
8I love it, but don't love that she is doing bare legs withit, kindof a mixed msg. Maybe it's just cause I'm Canadian, and therefore know bare legs and cold weather don't mix.

13Dolce & Gabbana does use real fur. Animals are way cuter after they've been killed and turned into apparel for overpaid Hollywood hookers and gold-digging wenches.

I can't believe, that in this day and age, people are still using it, wearing it, endorsing it. It's so, so sad that with all the technology we have at creating synthetics that keep people warm and look like fur, we still we compelled to use the real stuff.
But then again, with all the technology we have, we're still using oil as a source of fuel, and we're still driving gas-guzzling SUVs, so who am I to complain about fur, right?

You can complain about fur all you like. Global warming doesn't make it any less of a moral issue.

36Who cares if it's real fur? I'm a dog owner, but I still love fur coats. People have been wearing fur for thousands of years. I think there are more important issues to concentrate on than the lives of rodents, like finding a cure for cancer or the crisis in Darfur or poverty in Eastern Europe. Calm down with the anti-fur rants people. Sheesh.

41I hate fur. The authentic fur is outrageously wrong, it breaks my heart to see an animal being killed (in the most horrible ways) so some vain stuck up b*tch can wear a coat or whatever pleases her ugly ass. The faux looks tacky and both (authentic and faux) make everybody look fat.

It may be true that people have worn fur for centuries... but a hundred years ago we didn't have such a range of synthetic materials. There was a time when fur was necessary for warmth; now we have heaters and better insulating fabrics. So, if you like fur, and don't care where it comes from, whatever - but saying its OK just because we've been doing it forever is a pretty poor argument.
