Kate Middleton and Prince William's first royal visit to North America is underway in California, with their most recent event being the BAFTA awards. Donning Alexander McQueen, Kate looked subtly glamourous hanging with Jennifer Garner, Blake Lively, and Nicole Kidman. Our favorite part of her outfit? Sparkly Jimmy Choo platform heels! Style highlights of Catherine's trip so far: she paid homage to Canada via Canadian-born designer Erdem by wearing two of his dresses; she also donned a red maple leaf fascinator to celebrate Canada Day. She looked totally adorable in a cowboy hat and boots, and fresh in yellow Jenny Packham. While Kate chose a lovely gray Roksanda Ilincic dress for her arrival in LA, she quickly changed into a green silk dress from American designer Diane von Furstenburg for a welcome reception later that day. I've just been finding her clothes all quite similar...I would have loved if she had worn a bright bold coloured gown to the BAFTAs, and maybe done something different with her hair!

Kruser - totally disagree. The wavy, long hair is what sets her apart from eons of matronly royals - and only adds to her appeal and the public's adoration for her. In my eyes, she can do now wrong. As someone just two years younger than CM, I feel that at last, a young woman is doing my generation justice.

FINALLY the hair in an elegant up do on a warm summer night. She cannot keep wearing it down on hot windy days during public appearances. Looks messy, unkempt, and wild. She needs a new hair style after 29 years. She a not a school girl or coed any longer. The Catherine Walker dress is elegant and understated, but needs a good piece of jewelry. Not some cheap faux boutique crap but a piece of Diana's jewelry. Why let Camilla, Diana's nemesis, wear the jewelry??
