Kate Spade Fall 2007 Purple Metallic Handbag: Love It or Hate It?

I was happy to see less metallics on the Fall runways - but don't get me wrong, they will linger. I've stated I'm over metallics but this Kate Spade purple metallic handbag that debuted yesterday caught my eye. Though it doesn't look like the most functional bag - with the thick ruffled handle and drawstring closure - I love the purple metallic! So, undecided. You?

The design and the purple are fine, but I just don't like the metallic.

I know that metallics are really the trend right now, but metallic bags always come off as looking cheap to me. It's one trend I just can't get behind. I don't like it at all.

I love purple, but I am not a big fan of this purse. Metallic has never made me weak in the knees anyway.

It doesn't look very Kate Spade-y to me. Honestly it probably costs a lot more than it looks. You're probably going to find knockoffs everywhere asap for like 10$ a pop. it's cute but the trend will go away really fast. I know purple and metallics are going to be pretty big Fall07 but... ehhh... I'd say go for simpler metallics like gold, silver & copper instead...
