I agree that it seems like both she and Reese Witherspoon knew since they weren't nominated; it would fair well for them to wear more simple and demure dresses - and both were simple but elegant and really spoke to their character...

I love that she chose a simple dress. She knows not to try and overshadow the actresses who were nominated. That to me speaks of true character.

kate's beautiful. hair and makeup was perfect. love the fit of her dress, but the style's a bit too matronly for me. want her to be in something softer, younger.
