Kids' Choice Awards: America Ferrera

I really like the idea of a cocktail dress for the Kids' Choice Awards but this David Meister chartreuse silk taffeta slip dress seems a bit more wedding appropriate. It's pretty, and America looks stunning, I'm just not sure it's the right dress at the right time. I'll leave the decision on those wedges up to you as well.

I like that she combined formality with wedges, she made a middle of the path thing, and the colour is feminine and classy.

I LOVE the outfit. However, this isn't a premiere or a legit awards show. She should dress fun for a change!

I don't know about the wedges with this dress, or this dress with the KCAs, but she is just so cute to me, she can't really do any wrong!

I think the shoes could have worked with a different outfit. I agree about the dress; I think the main problem with it is the fact that it is taffeta - uggh! However, if she had opted for a bright color, the taffeta might even work but, again, not with the wedges...

Her hair and makeup are beautiful! She looks fabulous from the neck up. The style of the dress (as another post said) works for her body but why not do it in a fun color (and maybe a different material)? A deep plum or teal maybe? A fun print? Something to give it some vibrancy. And while those shoes are cute and I agree that they were probably added to give a casual vibe to the formal dress, they don't go at all. Some cute metallic or colorful strappy heels would have been better. Her clutch looks cute but again, it's not very fun. She is so pretty and has such great assets (dark hair, beautiful skin, hourglass figure), why not play them up instead of washing her out and making her blah?

America also does a good job. What happened?!?! Every thing about this outfit is wrong. That dress needs to be another color, it totally doesn't go with her skintone.
