Lauren Conrad Collection Update! Yay or Nay?

LC's clothing collection that I mentioned before has finally dropped! For Fall, eleven pieces are debuting for purchase online, including leggings, tops, headscarves, and dresses. Two of the dresses are even named for her best friends - the Audrina Dress and the Lo Dress - cute!

Eleven pieces doesn't give me much to go on as far as Lauren's designing abilities, but they are good basics, available in a variety of colors, and are priced from $25-$150. So hats off to LC for realizing a dream!

I think the clothes are well kind of boring. But they do look like the things you see her wear. Plus maybe they just need accessorizing. And all good fashionistas can do that right? I guess they are a little overpriced for normal girls her age but I think they are pretty reasonable expecially fo a girl who drives a mercedes and owns handbags that cost as much as maybe three months rent

plus you are only seeing five of her designs on this site, if any of you read cosmo girl you'll see some of her other designs thats are more complex then these.

I love Laurens collection people who are saying its too expensive and its unoriginl lets see you guys design something (no offense) sometimees basics are good things, and if I had the choice to get something from her line or forever21 id pick Laurens.

That is the same clothing I have seen everywhere a billion times. What is special about it? I could go to American Apparel and basically buy all those same basics more conveniently, and in a greater selection of colour. Can anyone else say "unoriginal"?

Ugh, I agree with everyone else. I love The Hills and I'm SOOOO TEAM LC but her collection is way way overpriced for such basic, boring items.

I think it's cute, but overpriced and not really original. At the same time though, I guess as it is her first line it might be better to stick with tried and tested silhouettes and make herself a name that designs good quality clothing (I'm hoping that's why her pieces are so expensive!) and then branch out and become a little more creative.

You mentioned leggings and I just groaned. I digress. To me, it's all either way too cheap, or in this case, with her collection, way too expensive. Just..UCK. I wish there were some happy medium there.

Ugh, please lauren, can you try!? i know she shouldnt be coming out as the next betsey johnson or w/e but try to put an ounce of origionality! fab said the price range is from 25, the scarfs are 25$ everyhting else is over 100$! these are simple clothes, not works of art. i personally dont think shes obnoxious, but part of me definetly thinks shes spoiled, and it really reflects on the clothes if lauren herself is willing to pay that much money for these simple outfits!

Great start but as many mentioned the prices are a little too extreme.
