Look of the Day: Plenty of Sunshine

Ever the optimist, mic_check_chell has plenty of sunshine to spread around with that bright yellow top of hers.

I love how the accessories she paired with such a simple base (tee and jeans) really make the outfit Fab. The scarf tied at the neck and the big tan hobo bag lend a bohemian feel, but the cap-toed flats keep the look from being too "done." What an easily put together great look!

I like it except for the shoes, I don't think they go with the outfit.

I don't want to sound mean since I'm not however this look is not a good outfit for curvy bodies. It's not working. I would suggest: Dark-wash jeans in a bootcut(to make the leg look lean); a open-toe heel(gives height); rid the scarf(it's give the look of no-neck) and layer a button down over the tee(makes it interesting). Hope that helps, I didn't want to sound harsh.

i don't want to be a downer but the outfit looks cheap.. it screams walmart & burlington... & as said above skinny jeans were not made for curvaceous bodies...

yeah, i'm over skinny jeans. i'm a girl with thick thighs like you, and i can say that it's not a great look for ladies like us because it accentuates the part of our bodies that aren't necessarily our best asset. "short and squat" is a horrible term to use for us curvaceous women.

I would have gone with a more structured blouse whose hemline didn't hit at the widest part of the hip to keep the silhouette streamlined and unfussy. The t-shirt hitting at the hip and curving into the waist accentuates the curvaceousness of the hip. But the color scheme is great and the overall vibe is on point.
