This Balmain Crystal-Embellished Jacket ($11,410) is undeniably fly, but besides Beyonce and a couple other celebs, I don't know anyone willing to fork over the dough for such a trendy statement piece. I love the kitschy, band-jacket-inspired style, but paying that much is not even a faint possibility . . .

Thank goodness we have Target! Not only does this Target Go International Bandleader Vest ($35) cost a fraction of Balmain's design, but the pared down embellishments make it more wearable. The cropped cut is perfect for any badass, Balmain-inspired ensemble. Get it while it's hot!

I love the vest. It was featured earlier this week on Look of the Day and the girl looked great with the vest. The jacket looks like Sgt Pepper...gross.

Eep. Looks like a gross, old marching band uniform from high school circa 1992. I wouldn't wear it if it happened to be free.

$11K is a ridiculous price for ANY piece of clothing that's not covered in precious jewels. I do like the jacket though and in fact I bought the Target version. It's cute.

Seriously...I was in marching band back in high school and I'm pretty sure our jackets looks EXACTLY like the Balmain jacket...since when did marching band uniforms become trendy?!
