The Look For Less: Cloak & Dagger Paddington Car Coat

I don't know about you, but the weather here in SF is a recipe for catching a cold. One day the temperature can be upward of 70 degrees while the next is chilly willy. I sure could have used this navy Cloak & Dagger Paddington Car Coat ($598) last night. The silk lining and deep pockets are perfect for nippy situations, but the price is way out of my reach.

This American Eagle Belted Peacoat ($120) is much cheaper and has the same epaulette detailing on the shoulders. The silky quilted lining will surely keep me cozy all Winter long. Done and done.

The cloak and dagger coat is gorgeous! The AE one is okay, but you can tell it is the less expensive of the two at first glance.

I actually like the American Eagle one better, although I think that's a little much to pay for any coat, especially if it's the same quality as AE's clothing (not very good)...

The Cloak & Dagger one is fabulous. Love it. The AE one is okay...nothing special.

the Cloak & Dagger coat is terrific. I would do the AE coat without the belt. it just seems to add so much bulk.

AE is cute and warm looking but the belt made it more like a pea coat where the expensive one reminds me of sailing.

I think both are very cute, but I know if I had the money I would definitely invest in the Cloak and Dagger coat.

Love the Cloak and Dagger coat, not crazy about the other...I really am not a fan of the belt...I guess I'll just have to stare longingly at the one that I can't afford...
