Lorde [1] had her first big red carpet night at the Grammys, scooping up awards left and right and hugging her friend Taylor Swift [2]. But will she regret the dress she chose? While we don't have much to study to figure out her award show M.O., we can sense a minimalist vibe from her (unlike Taylor's girlier leanings). She went supersimple, picking a long-sleeve, floor-sweeping Balenciaga Pre-Fall 2014 black dress with a high neckline that gave us a little peek at the Neil Lane diamond necklace worn right at her throat.
