Louis Vuitton Monogram Dentelle Speedy: Love It or Hate It?
Okay, Marc Jacobs has gone too far once again with his Louis Vuitton Monogram Dentelle Speedy, $1,420. What is up with all this lingerie-like lace stuck to the gorgeous monogram speedy? What happened to less is more? Didn't anyone on Marc's team have enough cojones to tell him his lace idea blows? Apparently not because this handbag is currently sitting in LV boutique windows everywhere. Don't get me wrong, Marc is still a genius in my eyes, but even geniuses make mistakes, right?

8Some things are improved with the addition of Alencon lace...Christening gowns, ornate hand fans, a throw for Grandmother's davenport, *some* wedding gowns and accoutrement...that's about it.
9I am not a fan of having obvious logos on any piece of fashion I own. I'm fine with certain pieces of hardware that are customary for certain brands. (Like Chloe's lock on the Paddington bags.)
But when something is just loaded with the brands logo all over it, I have to pass on the item. I'm not a billboard.
So no Coach or LV logo-ed stuff for me!
10I agree with TheMissus!! Isn't it enough I've already supported your company by paying for the item? I don't wanna be your free billboard on top of that - not unless I'm getting paid for it!
11Yuck from someone who LOVES her LV Speedy and Noe bags. I agree about wearing obvious logos with the exception of LV and I'll definately take a CC bag

yo i love it, sorry guys! i saw a tote bag in that style in elle a few months ago and i fell in love. it goes with the victorian style that...uh...was in style in fall...hmm...

14i wouldn't wear it but the lace is so cobwebby and delicate, it makes for a nice contrast with the staid lv logo. which, i have to agree with most, seriously just does not need to be printed all over everything. blecch.
like the design though.

16I have the same exact - bag in the messenger version. Actually, this bag is for $1200. It's not for $3000. Just wanted to share that info if people are interested in buying this bag. It's not that expensive for an LV bag. The perforated Speedy which come out last year is the same price too. This bag were sold like hot cakes on eLuxury.com.

24I LOVE LOVE LOVE Louis Vuitton but I'm not digging this. Usually then can do no wrong. I have to say - if someone gave me the bag I would use it. But I would NOT buy it. I still LOVE the multi colors. That was the smartest thing they ever did.
