Madonna recently celebrated her 51st birthday . . . in style? You tell me. The singer, along with her lover Jesus Luz and kids, boarded a ship in Portofino wearing her version of resortwear for a beachy vacation. Let's see what we have here: a black cardigan over a lace dress, black patent belt, a wide-rim hat, cat-eye sunnies, and overly strappy heels. What are your thoughts — does she pull it off or is she going overboard?

I really admire Madonna, She's been through alot and she has always done what she wants to do and I think Madonna dressing normal and being boring would extract the amazement of her. I think she looks awesome! Only Madonna and Gwen Stefani can get away with wearing something like that.

Its waaaay too hot in Italy right now for black lace...and those strappy heels 1. on a boat, 2. with that dress?? the pieces seperately are nice (fab dress) together its a big mesh of styles

Just seems desperate now, her edge is no longer edgy, just pathetic. Dress your age, woman. You can still look glamorous and avante garde and be covered up.

From a guy's point of you, Ms. Madonna can be much hotter w/o all the skin. Miss_into-her-50's was classier during her BLOND AMBITION days than now. I like an older woman with a nice body, but clothes that become her, and not scream..."too much in-Hoe-mation!"

What a bad choice. She needs to tone it way down. I know she wants to make a statement but please do it in a classy way. She is looking very unbecoming lately - fashion and looks as well sad to say...
