The Look For Less: Givenchy Multi-Layer Chain Necklace

Her Madge-esty looked fittingly regal and gothic when she recently donned Givenchy's multi-layer chain necklace from his Fall collection. Something about the combination of all-black and heavy Mr. T-style chains is seriously lethal, in a good way. We can thank the brand's designer Riccardo Tisci for injecting feminine goth into our closets. Now if only said injection didn't bruise our bank accounts so badly . . .

My heart skipped a beat when I saw this Marciano Cynthia Multi-Layer Cross Necklace ($198), because it meant I could look designer but not adopt its spending habits. True, the price tag isn't cheap, but it beats paying thousands for the real deal. The way I see it, it's an investment necklace, and will be worth every penny when you get compliments left and right.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the Givenchy collection... but fab, this is NOT a look for less. I think I can do a bit better than that... =)

Love Madonna's entire outfit. The look for less looks cheap and costs a bit too much. I'd rather go get a whole bunch of F21 necklaces and layer them for 1/4 the price.

200 for a necklace that is not even silver? No. Investments give you solid returns, not compliments.

I don't know... I feel like this is one of those looks that can only be pulled off by celebrities or models on the runway. I can't see anyone wearing this in real life and not looking like a fool.
