Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas were spotted in London just one day after performing at the American Idol season finale in LA. Looking sophisticated and fashionable, Fergie paired black shorts and a blazer with a more informal zebra print top and a pair of studded heels. Shop a similar look now.
Modern mules are back with a vengeance. I know, it's hard to step out of your comfort zone, but Fab has your back. Notice how new cuts range from feminine and sexy to hard rock cool. Me? I prefer something in the middle like these Taupe Barneys Co-Op Slingback Mules ($495). It's the ultimate balance between funky and fancy. Oh, did I mention modern mules are also quite comfy?
Nude shoes look great with anything, really. They elongate the leg and are the sexiest neutral around. Or, you can opt to go head-to-toe nude like Penelope Cruz, goodie nude shoes. Her banded Dolce & Gabbana is near nude perfection; her satin Very Prive Louboutins are insanely Fab. I have some classic nude patent Brian Atwood pumps that I always grab in a crunch. It's a worthy investment, but I recommend shopping for your nudes in the flesh to ensure a perfect skin match.
Did you tune in for the Oscars on Sunday? While I was pumping out celebrity looks for you to judge, my friend hosted a fabulous Oscars party filled with yummy apps and special drinks. She was tied up with party preparations so I asked you to help her find a rad red-carpet ensemble. Nothing too fancy; just fun!
I started you off with this Marc by Marc Jacobs Cosmos Star Headband ($78) because it's festive and will make her feel like a star in her own right. Let's see . . .

>> "Another barefoot model on the Brian Reyes catwalk. And another. What's going on here?" The Moment twittered this morning. Apparently, the shoes Brian did in collaboration with Manolo Blahnik weren't too comfortable: viewers lost count of the number of models who toppled, and at least three stopped to take their shoes off. By the final run of the show — and this never happens — all the models had taken off their shoes and were walking barefoot. So much for those Manolos, but at least they didn't cause any falls like at Herve Leger earlier this week.
>> After two seasons of videos, Scott Sternberg decided to take his Boy and Band of Outsiders show live, creating tableaux vivants of models in classroom, by a lamppost, resting on a park bench, or reading a book on a bed — "I want to use the groupings, or vignettes, to create microcosms within this vast space." Props to the man for being one of the first, if not the first this week to rent a space big enough to hold his presentation and all the guests invited comfortably. Kanye West hit up this show too, and Jason Wu, who shares the same stylist with Sternberg, Tina Chai.
The sportwear label clearly has some major fans — Meredith Melling Burke was running around, camera out — which I've never seen her do — and got up close and personal with the brightly-colored, ankle-tied high heel bowling shoes that Boy collaborated with Manolo Blahnik on; they did look outstanding against the contrasting tights with color-tipped toes.
Here's what she has on:
- Dress: Forever 21
- Shawl: Asos
- Tights: Unknown
- Booties: Manolo Blahnik
- Brooch: Vintage

I asked you what your New Year's fashion resolutions are, and most of you either want to buy better quality clothing or give yourself a shopping budget. Fair enough. Now let's see what some famous shoe designers, like Giuseppe Zanotti (left, with Eva Mendes), vow to do in 2009.
- To follow my own instinct more and less of what others say; to eat less fatty food; to drink less wine; to do more exercise; and to spend more time with my children.
- Working with more factories, expanding my range, launching a men’s line.

Simplicity can be such a beautiful sight sometimes. Behold Molly Sims at the Geoffrey Beene fashion scholarship dinner. It probably took her a total of 10 minutes to throw on that entire outfit: the black Josef Statkus strapless jumpsuit, strappy studded sandals, black cocktail ring, and metallic snakeskin clutch. Still, she looks super fashionable and effortless. Follow Molly's lead and buy yourself a flattering black jumpsuit. It will come in handy when you're seeking a no-fuss, but sassy, party look.
