Quick lesson: A dashiki is a garment widely worn in West Africa. That said, how do you feel about this Mara Hoffman Chiffon Dashiki ($319) hitting mass market? I love the print, but the loose cut and wide front slit seems unflattering. Do you think Mara translated this ethnic piece well or should she go back to the drawing board?

that's one of the most hideous things I've ever seen. The gladiator sandals don't help. looks like they're in a badly designed movie.

I agree with you completely; I love the print but the cut and fit is just not right - it needs to have a clear silhouette. I would totally rock the pattern, though...

It would suit larger figures if it were better designed. I don't think the ethnic design translated well at all. If it were tucked in under the bust instead of half way to the waist it will give better definition and the front slit should be chucked. Then it would look better. Also the shoes are horrible.
