Stephanie Pratt was one of the first arrivals at the 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards. She surprised everyone by wearing a simple (and cheap!) Marciano dress. She accessorized with two diamond bracelets, a diamond ring, and black peep-toe pumps. Shop the affordable dress, and more expensive accouterments, here.
Trend Alert: Retro-Tastic Summer Dresses
Tell me you have at least one retro-tastic Summer dress in your closet. I used to be addicted to these when I lived in NYC — flea market finds were perfect for sticky hot Summer days . . . and nights. I still have a couple favorites for a Summer picnic or garden party. Marion Cotillard's sheer red frock is the most desirable — not too sweet, slightly sexy. Her candy-colored Ray-Bans bring the vintage feel home. May I suggest pairing yours with modern sandals or flats; you don't want to look like you just stepped out of Pleasantville, or do you?!
Celeb Style: Alexa Chung
Leave it to quirky cutie Alexa Chung to pair crochet, denim cutoffs, army green, and socks-with-sandals and make it all look up-to-date. It's not an easy look to master, but with a bit of effort and confidence, it can be done. Start with a feminine crochet top, men's army green button-down, vintage denim cutoffs, and, the most important, gray socks with colorful platform sandals. Of course, a Chanel bag won't hurt either.

How to Wear Fall's Green Trend: Sleek Utilitarian
Now that you have the sexy explora and hot militarian looks down, let's ponder the sleek utilitarian. This ensemble mixes tailored elements, like this structured tweed coat, with soft cargos and a safari-inspired shirt. The different textures and varying shades of green create delicious depth. Oh, don't forget to complement your green tones with a pair of suede mustard booties and purple polish — delish.

Fab Finger Discount: Marciano Kendra Knotted Pearl Necklace
Pearls are classic, but there are times when one craves a good mix of classic and funky. This Marciano Kendra Knotted Pearl Necklace ($20, originally $58) is it. The hematite-colored beads lend ruggedness, while the twisting and knotting effect make it trendy. It's like pirate's booty, only more refined. Throw it on over a casual tee, boyfriend blazer, and dark denim jeans — basic to bam in a sec.

Look of the Day: Twirling in Tulle
bunniebar is twirling in tulle. Check out how the budding stylist tempered her ultra-feminine skirt with a polished black blazer. I also love how she contrasted her pearls with a tough leather and chain necklace — nice. It's chic, girly, and ideal for partying the night away.
Here's what she has on:
Shoes: Aldo
Clutch: UB
Skirt: Forever 21
Tank: Marciano
Bangles: Aldo
Blazer: Talula
Leather and Chain Necklace: Love, Bunnie
Pearls: Michael Hill
Congrats to bunniebar!

I Want This Wardrobe: Serena van der Woodsen
Tonight's Gossip Girl is going to be full of surprises. Rufus and Lily are getting married, but will their special day be ruined by Georgina's evil plan? While we wait for the drama, let's examine Serena's beautiful party attire. Smart of the Upper East-Sider to complement her dark teal chiffon gown with purple patent heels. It adds a spunky twist to her ethereal ensemble, and I like how she furthered her funk with studded bangles. Appropriate, yet Serena scintillating.

Trend Alert: Secret Sequins
There's this theory that sequins can be too flashy and thus trashy. If a glimmering Alexander McQueen head-to-toe bodysuit is freaky to you, secret sequins may strike your fancy. Kate Walsh donned Stella McCartney's nude tank with gray ombre jeans and she looks friggin' fantastic. And we weren't even there. I'd imagine the sparkles radiated in the Monte Carlo sun. Ever so subtly, though, that's the secret.
Celebrity Style: Karolina Kurkova
Model Karolina Kurkova attended an NYC benefit in an ensemble that proves that you don't have to wear skin-tight clothes to be sexy. Check her out in her chic menswear look consisting of an oversize white button-down shirt, tucked into a fitted black pencil skirt, and finished off with chunky black patent sandals. The rolled-up sleeves lend casual flair, while her black clutch and gold hoops dress her up. Those juicy red-orange lips are the cherry on top!
