More than one editor commented on the way out of the Marissa Webb [1] Fall 2014 show that it was her dream wardrobe, and we can't disagree. The silhouette was dominated by a boxy top over lean legs — drop-shoulder wool jackets over funnel tunics and leather leggings, plaid blouses under ruffled jumpers, monochromatic pink and red outfits with ankle-grazing skirts.
And as one would expect from a J.Crew alum, the styling took the looks to the next level. Shirt tails peeked out from pullovers, lace-up heels added edge to white denim, and drop-crotch suit pants paired perfectly with cropped peacoats. A sheer floral dress over a bandeau top floated effortlessly as a nod to evening, but we can imagine more than one show attendee rocking the fluted pink skirt and shearling biker jacket at night, as well.
