When the bride-to-be's as stylish as Mary-Kate Olsen, engagement ring expectations are staggeringly high. And fiancé Olivier Sarkozy didn't let the fashion mogul down with his choice of rock. When Mary-Kate stepped out in New York earlier this week, we closely inspected her ring: it looks to be a round diamond solitaire in a large gold setting. So who designed it?

Best guesses place this as the winning style: Cartier's four-carat European-cut diamond and sapphire ring, which just so happened to sell at Sotheby's auction on Feb. 6 for $81,250. The vintage 1953 sparkler may have been designed long before Mary-Kate was born, but it seems like it was made just for her unique style. Get a better look at the details of that ring, and if you'd like to have your ring finger twinning MK's, we've shopped some similar styles for you. Source: INF
