Clear is basically defined as the absence of color. So, no, not a color. Also, it reminded me of the tacky clear bra straps too.

Clear is not a color, rather takes on the color of its a surroundings. Until crayola makes a clear crayon, or i can paint my house a nice shiny clear, its not for me. Black is ALSO not a color. It is the complete absence of reflected light. I refuse to wear clothes that defy the laws of physics...

No, it shows the color of whatever is underneath it. If you want to get technical, colors are what we see from the light that is reflected off of a certain material. Since clear stuff is translucent, light goes straight through it, so scientifically, it has no color.
