The Met's Costume Institute Gala: Cate Blanchett

Cate the Chameleon strikes again! While I am usually a huge fan of Cate's red carpet looks, I can't say I am a big fan of this one. That gold dress is a little too...gold a la Beyonce at the Golden Globes. What do you think?

I can't say too much about the metallics that are going on because it is a big trend that we're seeing but I do like just about everything that Cate pulls off.

This dress would look way better at a shorter length, but I do like the color and fit on her.

The hair is way too bride of frankenstein, I don't care for the dress but I'm disappointed she looks so thin. I don't remember her being this skinny before.

I love her dress. The earrings, not so much, and she looks like she just came back from the dead.

I am so sad to see her not looking good. This is got to be the first time. The dress is not half as bad as the hair and makeup. She looks like a homeless person in a really fancy dress.
