The Met's Costume Institute Gala: America Ferrera

I am so torn about America's choice for the gala. On one end, the deep v-neck and cap sleeves really flatter her figure, but on the other hand, I think she could have dressed a bit more light-heartedly since she's young and fresh on the fashion scene. What do you all think?

It's a daring dress but I don't care too much for it. I think it's because the top (to me) doesn't compliment the bottom. It's too harsh?

I agree, I wish she'd worn something more colorful, but she definitely knows how to dress for her body type. At any rate, the dress is very cute.

She looks great! Like the cap sleeves & deep v-neck (undecided about bottom half of dress)... very flattering to her face and skin tone. Good choice of brick red lip stick.

I agree it is conservative, but I think for her body type it would be a delicate matter to dress that body type in a revealing way while not being hoochie. But I like what she's wearing.
