Michelle Obama Lights Up the DNC Stage in Bold Brocade

1

It goes without saying that Michelle Obama's speech at the Democratic National Convention tonight kept us captivated — and it didn't hurt that she looked incredible on stage, either. Michelle glowed in a pink toile brocade dress with aqua trim that was custom-made by Tracy Reese. The first lady finished her look with pink J.Crew pumps and simple gray earrings, once again proving that you don't need to spend a fortune to pull off a gorgeous look. Not only is Mrs. Obama continuing to show her sartorial prowess when it comes to keeping up with trends, but she's also making great strides to support American designers. Channel the first lady's stately, stylish DNC look by shopping the pieces below.

I agree she looked amazing (and always does!)  However, your statement "proving that you don't need to spend a fortune to pull off a gorgeous look" is ridiculous!  A custom-made dress and $245 shoes are not exactly bargain basement nor are they the norm in this country.
