Fab Ad: Miu Miu Spring '08

I think I just found the inspiration for my bedroom . . . or shall I say, boudoir? As a long time fan of the purple and red color combo, the dark shadows and moody feel of the latest crop of Miu Miu ads definitely intrigues. I am also a long time fan of Kirsten and think she is the perfect fit for the brand. The only thing I'm not thrilled about here is the actual clothes. This was one of my least favorite collections of Spring — a hodgepodge of French maids, Pierrots, harlequin and Playboy bunnies — and I ultimately felt the clothes weren't very wearable. But, Kristen wears the Spring offerings very well and with a subtle suggestion of kink. Miu Miu, reconsidered.

love the ads - she definitely captures the youthful but still elegant spunkiness that I think miu miu is all about, but the clothes aren't great, except for that dress! the face on it is creepy, but I just love its artistic feel...

Kirsten is a bit distracting from the clothes. She looks a bit robotic.

The ads are ok. She looks a lot better in these photos than she does on an average day. Her skin is so pale that I'm reminded of "Interview with a Vampire."

These are gorgeous, I'd love Kirsten but I'd love these ad's whether or not she was in them. They're just beautiful... Agree with Fab though, the collection itself is quite unappealing (looked very autumn/winter to me) and seems pretty unwearable. The proportions are really odd and, stunning as they are, these ads don't help the clothes look wearable at all.

I really like them, the colours are great. This is one of my favourite set of pictures from Miu Miu. I also loved the ones with Laetitia Casta and Maggie Gyllenhaal.
