Mo'Nique chose a blue Grecian-inspired Tadashi Shoji ruched dress for tonight. The ruched effect is flattering, and I like how she added an exotic touch via a white flower hairpiece. The Precious actress chose diamond earrings, a bangle, and a white clutch to complete her ensemble. What's your verdict? Vote on all of my Oscar polls here!

I like the color. I like the gardenia (both the dress color and gardenia are a tribute to Hattie McDaniel, who wore a royal blue dress with gardenias in her hair when she became the first African-American to win an Oscar). I like that Mo'Nique is wearing a good bra. I do not like the horizontal ruching, especially it going down past the hips, and I don't like the neckline. The hair is also a bit severe for my tastes.

Did she really wear the $458 dress featured on CelebStyle to the Oscars? Wow. I expected something more from her.

Le Etiana, it does look very prom-my. But it fits her well and it looks nice. It's just boring.

I have a dress this color, and I think this shade compliments deeper skin like Mo's (and mine). Love her hair up. The only things I don't like are the white clutch and nails. I guess it's OK since it's LA, but I would have done a darker nail color and a jeweled clutch.

There are a lot of bright colours tonight. I want to like this but it looks a bit prom dress to me. Call me whatever you want but I think when your arms aren't your best feature they should be covered a bit more.

very flattering dress for her shape. her curves look beautiful. i would of preferred another color but what makes her look work is her confidence! shine baby!
