I understand wearing boots in the Summer is a geographical thing. For example, a gal in Washington DC (hot, sticky) may balk at the thought, while a chick in San Francisco (foggy, breezy) may bask in it. But I must aver the cuteness of Summer booties. Pair slightly tough, open-toe booties with a sweet sundress and voila! Modern girlie. Black is the most extreme, neutrals and metallics lend a lighter touch. And look on the bright side — come Fall, these become Fall booties. Smarties.
