I understand wearing boots in the Summer is a geographical thing. For example, a gal in Washington DC (hot, sticky) may balk at the thought, while a chick in San Francisco (foggy, breezy) may bask in it. But I must aver the cuteness of Summer booties. Myla lingerie model and social Polly Delevigne exhibits said cuteness — pug alert!
Pair slightly tough, open-toe booties with a sweet sundress and voila! Modern girlie. Black is the most extreme, neutrals and metallics lend a lighter touch. And look on the bright side — come Fall, these become Fall booties. Smarties.

i LOVE booties in the summer! I think they add so much more to the outfit than mere sandals do. I definitely agree with the weather factor, but NY has been getting some wonderful weather lately. I like Huesling, the nude bootie, it would surely match everything for my summer wardrobe.

5They look cool. I like her whole looks, it's modern, but clean and fresh, without falling into the 90's "fashion" we've been seeing so much on people like Krueger and Pattison. And the pug. What can I say. I must eat it now.
6Ooo! How funny—I live in SF and wore an outfit just like this a couple weeks ago for a night out. I think the trick is to keep the skirt nice and short (I wore an American Apparel black jersey mini) so you get as much leg as possible, since the booties crop the leg line a bit early. But now we have the summer fog and it's too cold to wear skirts at night. Go figure.

10Since I am a Washington DC girl, I tend to think "ick" when I hear about booties in the summer. I would die! I wish that I could wear these shoes at this time of the year. The Huesing pair is my favorite, and a decent price! Thanks
