This Instagram Account Will Make You Forget About the Thigh Gap Once and For All

When we came across Stacey Baker's Instagram account, the first thing we noticed was her eye for quirky style. The New York Times photographer and mastermind behind Citilegs aims to capture the most stylish legs in NYC, and she never discriminates against body types.

Scroll through her feed, and you'll find thighs that touch, thighs that don't, crazy-printed leggings, furry boots, and striking statement shoes, along with the cross street that she spotted them. It's no wonder she's getting so much buzz and turning her project into a book — all to celebrate a diverse range of female figures.

"I don't mean to flatter myself or the project. I know they're just pictures of women's legs taken against a wall, but occasionally, the deconstructed legs look like something more. And I like that more often than not, it's fuller figures that achieve that, not the model-thin legs. Models' legs generally don't make for interesting leg pictures. Legs with curves do and as someone who has always wanted model-thin legs, that's good for me to see," Baker told Slate.

It's good for us to see too, especially at a time when our industry is beginning to embrace body diversity. On that note, read on to see some of the most fashionable legs Baker's snapped, then we recommend you do the obvious and tap the follow button.

Stacey Baker's book cover was designed by Matt Willey. The publication is due out this coming Fall.
