New York Fashion Week, Spring 2008: Michael Kors

Go Agyness, go Agyness, go! Can't you just feel the heat from Michael Kors' Spring sensations? If anyone can do Halston-esque pantsuits and Palm Beach prints it's Kors. However, this collection takes me back to his Spring 2000 collection. His inspiration then was "Palm Bitch" - be sure to check out an early Gisele in the lineup - and it seems his inspiration now is "Palm Bitchier." But I love it.

With sherbet florals and stripes, the separates and suiting were the standouts. Though his one-shoulder and halter gowns always arouse, they didn't seem so fresh as the swingy skirt/sweater pairings, safari getups and swimsuits. Sultry 70s accessories such as floppy hats, skinny belts and headscarves were fun finishers.
