Nicky Hilton has impressed us not only with her laid-back California style but also her designing skills. When we heard she was hitting New York City's Big Drop boutique to debut her Spring 2012 Nicholai collection, we hightailed it over to get the scoop on her latest baubles and more.

On the Inspiration for Nicholai: I’m very obsessed with the whole deco era – the style, the people, the makeup, and I wanted to bring that out in my jewelry collection. But I realized that kind of jewelry can be very expensive, so I wanted to bring it at a reasonable price point but still great quality.
Nicky's favorite piece: I love this [turquoise blue] cocktail ring! I tend to wear a lot of black and gray, so I love adding color through accessories.
Fashion week plans: I’m going to Alice + Olivia, Diane von Furstenburg, and Charlotte Ronson.
Nicky's Fall shopping list: I’m loving all the Fall Isabel Marant, and I'll buy boots. If you’re shopping on a budget, invest in good boots. It’s key.
Fall shopping tip: I always tell everyone — don’t skimp on shoes. Save on the clothes — you can have a rocking H&M or Zara dress, but pair it with really good accessories.
Where Nicky shops: I shop everywhere — I love Topshop, Intermix, and Patricia Field when I’m in NYC.

such a sad waste of a life. most likely, she has someone else do the designing and production who uses her name and likeness for marketing purposes. maybe she says yes or no to a proposed design or maybe she might have a little input, but I doubt hardly what a full time professional designer would have. but that is besides the point. the real issue is why doesn't this sad woman have a husband, a boyfriend, a child or even children? she didn't go to college (according to wikipedia) she dates (dated in the past) the son of the head of a movie studio. Does she love him, or is it just comfortable to be around other rich people? doesn't seem too serious, but who knows? she is in the shadows of her dolt of a sister. she appears to be conflicted with avoiding the limelight but sometimes embracing it. why do I even care about this gossip? maybe because nikki could have, if she put her mind to it, do something worthwhile for society, instead of just getting publicity for nonsense, how about doing some worthwhile charity work? yeah, i know, you supposedly do charity work, but the only thing I see is when you attend a charity event, not actually WORKING at a charity. look at angelie jolie - she travels around the world for various organizations and causes. do something worhwhile with your life. make an example for your women to give them dignity and meaning, not some empty brained dream of attending parties and nightclubs and events. aren't you getting a little too old for nightclubs anyway??? (certainly your sister is pathetic to still focus on DJ's and strobe lights and the craving for attention). yeah, your sister hit the jackpot with her "brand" which grew from her "bad girl" image and the empty dolts around the world who worship that. notice she has to travel to mexico and the phillipines and some arab country for her "brand" where the young girls have even less sense of constructive accomplishment than they do here. come on nikki, you can do better and you have the resources to do better than shop and party into spinsterhood. I know it's hard to meet a man when you have to be cautious of their motives for courting you. but hey, maybe if you get involved with a charity, I mean really do the work, maybe you'll meet some nice guy who has good values and start your own family. just saying, nikki, because you can do a lot of good for the world if you try, but so far, you're falling short. i'll root for you if you at least try to refocus and set a better example for young girls.
