Vests continue to serve as favorite layering tools. And it's time to get furry. Leather, denim, and studded vests are too weak right now — it's high time fashion meets function. I recently scored a cheap blond fur vest from American Eagle Outfitters, it even has a cute plaid lining. I've pretty much been throwing it over everything, and I'm trying to find a chichi enough event to wear it with a long gown a la Elizabeth Hurley. But Nicole Richie models it for everyday, if you can stop staring at her mammoth white Balenciaga and focus on her foxy furry.

I like fur and have no problem saying that. I've honestly never understood fake fur. It's still promoting the ideal of wearing an animal, so shouldn't PETA have a problem with that as well?
I like real fur. I like having leather boots and other items too. I love my UGGS and don't want to wear plastic shoes. I've seen the PETA stuff too, but I don't buy into it. Most fur farms are quite humane. Exceptions, sure, but all things have exceptions. Please lay off all this touchie-feelie stuff. It makes me choke!

I agree with mheart, promoting the idea of fur in general is bad. most of the foxes, minks, etc are clubbed or held down and they stomp on their head to knock them out. they are usually skinned right there then thrown in a pile. Im not with peta but ive seen many things on it and its just tragic that most people dont know what they do to those animals and it all just for fashion.

I know that faux fur is a trend but I find it extremely disturbing that it is okay to promote real fur.

usually purseforum knows it all, but they're still trying to find information on who the vest is by. I love the way real fur looks, but I'm definitely a fan of faux fur if it looks real as well.

I LOVE her vest. Any ideas what it is? Also, I have to say I'm a bit of a fabric snob and loathe fake fur. It tends to feel so cheap. Has anyone encountered fake fur that really, truly feels like fur?

I just bought a black fur vest from Target the other day that looks very similar to the listed Members Only vest at Kitson...I couldn't find it online, but it was only $7 in the store (yay clearance)!
