Nicole Richie stepped out in a gorgeous, sequin Halston dress and House of Harlow 1960 accessories for the launch of her holiday collection at Fred Segal in West Hollywood over the weekend. The line was chock-full of Nicole's signature breezy, boho style, including chevron-print bangles, antler-inspired cocktail rings, and her favorite arrow necklaces. We got the scoop on the inspiration for the collection and found out when Nicole first fell in love with fashion — hint: it involves a pair of sparkly bell-bottoms. On Allison: StyleMint top, J Brand jeans.

It's all in today's Fab Flash. The holidays are about being festive and celebrating life and that's really what we wanted to do with it, with this collection. Nicole Ritchie held a party to celebrate her holiday collection and her pop up shop inside Fred Segal. The line was filled with gorgeous statement necklaces, Chevron details, and oversize cocktail rings all infused with Nicole's signature Bohemian flare. And this season, she added a new shade which she's been wanting to design for a long time. The arrows are my favorite. I've been wanting to do arrows for years now so I'm happy that it's all really coming to life. Nicole has such a unique sense of style and her love of fashion started really early, when her dad Lionel was on tour. I was the teenager that had the posters on my wall. But you know even before that, when I was a little girl my dad, he would have his costume designer that would make his tour outfit. He would have her make me a matching outfit out of the excess and so for whatever crazy, rhinestone bell bottom that my dad was wearing with his big afro, she would make me a dress out of it. In addition to designing jewelry and sunglasses, Nicole launched House of Harlow handbags and shoes for the first time ever before. She actually wore a pair of snake skin pumps, and clutch from the line to the party. The handbags are fantastic and we especially love the snake skin and leopard print box clutches, perfect for a night out. But Nicole said she's going to wait a while before expanding into any other category. It's important for me to give each business it's own identity, and so I've really been taking my time and really focusing on making each one the best version of itself. And so, you know, I'll probably wait a few seasons before expanding make sure to check the entire House of Harlem 1960 holiday collection. I'm Alison, see ya next time on fab flash on FabSugarTV
