With this phony sales pitch the Kors mask slipped. For Kors it's all about bowing down at his altar and kissing his toes. In other words Mondo 'didn't listen' to Kors and showed the polka dot dress. So Kors punished Mondo saying, 'he needs more time.' Kors with his silly sunglasses and his back to the audience missed their reaction to Gretchen's collection. That should have frightened him into some semblance of fairness when time came to pick the winner. You judges failed to send evil Ivy home for being a shameless liar and false accuser (strike one); you failed to allow Michael C show his collection, and everyone is wondering what he turned out (strike two); you chose a drab no-talent Gretchen as winner in order to spite the obvious star of the season Mondo (strike three). Next season this is what I want to hear Heidi say, "Michael Kors, YOU'RE OUT!" (Nina too, please). 3 years I always thought of you as the real voice of reason and sensibility... BUT NOW I dont know! Both you and Michael totally contradicted yourselves from last season. I believe you both are mor interested in ratings than fashion! I have watched from season on but...now I HONESTLY I will not return as LOYAL viewer. SO heres to your ratings! I guess that THE FASHION SHOW will be my new show. 3 years Nina you and Micheal or IDIOTS or maybe drunk because that decision was ludicrous. The clothing made by Wretchen was foul. Hope you get all the bad publicity that you deserve. 3 years I am so disappointed in Heidi for giving in to Michael and Nina, I thought this was Heidi's show. I am thinking they have lost a lot of viewers over this very bad choice. Maybe Gretchen can design for womens prison garb but really that's all it is good for. Drab and dull, I am 60 years old and I would not wear that crap, Nina. Mondo was clearly the best choice. Gretchen should have been sent home weeks ago when she was whining she was tired, tired of the challenges, blah, blah, blah. Michael C was also ripped. Kicked off because the judges were thinking his collection was all the same color? Well I saw mostly grey and a dab of green in Andy's line so what's up? Next time just tell us up front who the winner is that way we don't have to waste several weeks jsut to be disappointed. I am so shocked but really this whole thing looked like you were setting Gretchen up for a win all along. Why, why, why? Not for her winning personality. Mondo I am sorry and I wish the best for you, as well as Michael C. and Andy. I hope you guys go far. jamie ferrari 3 years OK. I've been a faithful Project Runway watcher since day one. I have gone through loving and hating all of the judges and contestants. This season was a bit weird. At first I didn't care for any of the designers, but as with season's past, I began rooting for certain designers and started to appreciate their talents. Last night was a huge shocker. Really. The way that Michael and Nina overpowered Heidi and Jessica was bizarre. They bullied them up and into giving it to Gretchen. Now, I do see that Gretchen took their advise and hipped up her "girls" by putting them in heels and bright lips and big hair. OK so, I guess that is the reason they chose Gretchen. But, come now, how many of us want to wear her clothing unless it's to a yoga class? For Michael and Nina to say she is current and on trend made my head spin. Done. Mondo was great. Fantastic even. Fun and even the great Betsey Johnson was impressed by his witty, fun and interesting collection. I agree it is a FASHION show. Not a what will sell in my magazine show. I thought his use of the Day of the Dead was great and I would love to have several of his pieces. His collection reminded me of what Frida Khalo would wear if she were alive today. Very cool, very hip and beyond all very different. Mondo should have won, and weird that he didn't. When Michael Kors compared his own work to that of John Galliano's I almost fell off of my couch. Who's show would you rather see, huh? At least we know which show Kate Moss would be walking in. I'm, sorry guys, and I love you all but Mondo was malto, malto! jamie ferrari 3 years OK. Who's show would you rather see, huh? At least we know which show Kate Moss would be walking in. I'm, sorry guys, and I love you all but Mondo was malto, malto! 3 years Mondo was ROBBED!!!! I don't even begin to understand what happened. I watched my show with my 16 year old daughter and we were in shock. I would buy Mondo's hand beaded skull top in a nanosecond. 3 years Put aside how magnetically attracted we are to Mondo for his story, this guy is a real fashion designer, with pure talent that will WOW the fashion industry. My mother who dressed in the Gretchen look in the 80s said "I gave those same peices away years ago". Hiedi was right. Nina and Michael were tainted by the "indsutry" desire, not the concept of the show "to thrill the audience and wow us". Screw them, and big cheers to Mondo and Hiedi. 3 years Just cause can't wear Mondo, she attacked it. The woman who live in the spotlight chose what they would have worn, if we wanted to watch "ready-to-wear" contest it should be called "K-Mart Runway". We will not waste another season on this gross and terrible decision, we watch for electricity not boring and beyond safe. You continued to say "Wow, us" Mondo, and Gretchen yawned us. You rewarded a clear out right fake mean person. As the Donald would say...your fired. Gross. Waste of f'ing time. Clearly by all the comments you were devastatingly wrong. Also, don't confuse our interest in writing to you as a good thing, we are not interested anymore, again your rewarded the mean girl with boring K-Mart style. Season 8 is the final episode. PR ....."You are out". Awful. 3 years BOO NINA AND MICHAL YOU GUYS MADE THE WRONG DECISION!!!! HEDI WHY DIDN'T YOU DTAND YOUR GROUND. NINA AND MICHAL I AM ASHAMED OF YOU GUYS!!!!! NINA SO WHAT IF HE DIDN'T AGREE WITH YOU??? AND MICHAL IT WOULD BE IN FASHIION WAY LONGER THE BORING GRETCHEN JONES LOOK. ( NO OFFENCE TO GRETCHEN) NINA, AND MICHEL YOU GUYS LIKE ARE NOT GOOD AT LOOKING AT TTHE FASHION EYE!!!! 3 years This is the last Project Runway I will watch. I agree with other viewers, I have not always agreed with the winners chosen in previous seasons. But Gretchen should have been voted out several times when she fell to the bottom. Even she stated she wanted to leave as she had lost her desire to design, but she was kept. Andy's collection was beautiful as he used fabric that you cannot get in the United States. He was asked to change is way of designing and did. Where did that get him. If I was younger I would love to wear his line. The real winner did not get selected. He won most of the challenges with his designs. He used the most color in his collection like previous seasons designers who have won project runway. Mondo should have won this season. It is a shame that the judges changed the program from designer clothes to ready to wear that you can get off any rack in any store. I think the picture took a turn when they decided that Gretchen has had such a bad life, being broke and nowhere to live. The judges lost the idea of the whole process. Gretchen was not the best. Michael C made some dresses that were better than hers. I will no longer watch project runway. It has lost meaning of finding the best designer. 3 years Mondo is the next great designer regardless of what Michael Kors and Nina Garcia think. If I had $100,000 to invest I would seriously consider investing in his line. Never, never, never in Gretchen's. There is no talent there...just a big mouth. 3 years i cannot believe that mondo was disrespected in this way. mk and ng both tore him down for what they had been praising this whole show. i will never watch PR again. 3 years I am probably the only 43 straight male that lives in MT. that watches this show. They should let the designers know next time that they are looking for boring clothes that my wife can by at dillards. Instead of creativity. They lost there way this season. Go commercial!!! 3 years Based on her excuses for why Gretchen should be the winner and Mondo should not ("Gretchen's clothes are wearable by real women"), surely I can expect to see Nina wearing those stupid hemp "panties" during this fashion season. Sheesh! I'm sick at my stomach. I wasn't sure who the winner was, but I was sure the loser was Gretchen. I think they punished Mondo for keeping in that gorgeous polka dot dress. 3 years Gretchen's collection was depressing and boring compared to Mondo's. I am so hoping someone backs him (with much more than 100K) so he can create his own line. I also hope we see Jessica and Heidi in his dress soon. Sure wish some of the styles were for sale. Did you ever consider having the viewers vote? The popular vote could count as one judge so the bulk of the decision would still be in the professionals hands. I was proud of Jessica for speaking up. 3 years Nina, you and Gretchen are one and the same, old fashion boring bitter women. I guess the only one wearing Gretchen's collection will be Nina! LOL! Mondo was just way out of your league, you boring tasteless biatches Nina & Gretchen! 3 years In my mind, the order should have been Mondo, Andy and Gretchen, although I never pictured her making it to the finale, let alone winning. I found her point of view boring and predictable, and I do not agree that she grew and evolved during the process. As Heidi said, "this is not a jewelry show". 3 years Very sad. Last PR show I'll watch. Gretchen's baby doll pants were ridiculous. The brown tone theme was what got Michael C. kicked off last round. Mondo's work was head and shoulders above the others. He was the winner or in the top three for most of the rounds, Gretchen in the bottom, barely escaping the boot. I agree with many of the blogs. We should start a fund for Mondo's line. I would be happy to contribute because he was definitely cheated out of win tonight. 3 years Mondo was robbed! This finale may kill the series--many of us won't watch Project Runway again. Tonight's choice of Gretchen as winner was so disappointing, and may well bring about the demise of what was once a very fashion forward and fun show. 3 years I have never in all of my TV viewing days written in to provide my personal comments regarding a show. I love Dancing with the Stars but don't vote, have become somewhat hooked on the several of the reality shows and have rooted for certain candidates over others. What's more, I have watched PR season after season and been elated at the results every time, even if I did not agree with the selection of the winners. I would have love Jeal (sp) to win Dancing with the Stars a season or so ago, but I thought Shawn was also excellent so thought it fair and just. There was always a sense of balance. In short, I could understand and accept a different perspective because all appeared genuine and fair. So, to write in tonight speaks volumes for someone who is not necessarily a typical TV viewer. My disappointment in the show tonight is simply unparalleled. Mondo lost PR simply because he did not listen to MC and Nina and that's really a sad reflection on them (both of whom I have always admired and respected even when they were a bit mean. After all it's television). But what happened tonight was the playing out of several things that had nothing to do with Mondo's creativity or talent. I think he lost because he was not perceived as a good investment because he has Aids. I suspect that even if he had edited a bit more the powers that be would have found a reason to keep him from winning. The very arguments Nina and MC used tonight to deem Gretchen the winner was used against her in previous shows. From their own mouths they said that Gretchen's fashion was not high fashion but ready to wear. She lost a challenge for the very reason she won tonight. How stupid do you believe your viewers are. Not only this, I think it's a real slap in the face of the Hispanic culture in the United States to judge Mondo's fashion as "circus-like." I have to say I am sad and disappointed in the show. Everyone played their role well to make it seem like Mondo wasn't "there yet," but I just didn't buy it! What a let down in your show. 3 years PR has turned its back on runway fashion and gone to the "Lifestyle Woman". This used to be one of the most enjoyable "reality" shows on the air - maybe America is tired of the "realit"y shows - they have gone too commercial and away from "reality" and toward what the sponsors want. In the future let the public vote next year!!!! 3 years I agree with all above statements. Mondo 2012! The judges didn't listen to their own advise, and played it "Safe." Just goes to show you that they are out of touch rich people who think we all won't to shop at Target, because we're destitute and poor. I hate to say it but I probably won't watch the show next season. 3 years Wow, what happened? Do you really think women everywhere are going to make shorts that make Daisy Dukes look frumpy? bejewelled 3 years MONDO!MONDO!MONDO!MONDO!Project Runway has lost their vision. I'd like to see Nina Garcia in some of Gretchen's short shorts. I'd rather wear the emperor's new clothes!
