  • Shouldn't every day be Saturday? That's the idea behind the new brand Kate Spade Saturday, a standalone label with its own stores and website that will launch for Spring 2013. The price point is about 50 percent lower than Kate Spade New York; the average price for a garment from Saturday is $90. [WWD]

  • Vogue isn't just celebrating its 120th anniversary with a new book. On Dec. 6, HBO will premiere the documentary In Vogue: The Editor's Eye, a tribute to legendary editors from Polly Mellen to Grace Coddington. "They have always been our secret weapon," said Anna Wintour. "So it seemed to me that we could celebrate Vogue, and also, at the same time, celebrate these great editors." [Fashionologie Inbox]

  • Valentino, Oscar de la Renta, Balenciaga, and M Missoni are each auctioning off one-month Summer internships through CharityBuzz. The money raised will benefit Rosie's Theater Kids, a New York charity that aims to improve the lives of children through performing arts. [Vogue UK]

  • The collaborations just won't stop. Kirna Zabete is working on a collection for Nine West that will debut in February. [The Cut]

  • Dita Von Teese's first application of red lipstick happened at age 13. "I remember one time putting on a red and thinking, 'This changes everything. This is all you really need,'" she said. [Into the Gloss]

The Pamela Love x Nine West Boot Speaks to Our Inner Tough Girl

Sometimes finding the boot that fits — both in size and style — doesn't have to be so hard, especially when you have designers like Pamela Love handing you the perfect iteration on a platter.

Sometimes finding the boot that fits — both in size and style — doesn't have to be so hard, especially when you have designers like Pamela Love handing you the perfect iteration on a platter. Or at least, that's how this collaboration feels to us right now. Let's rewind and give you the facts. Nine West is continuing its Shoelaborations initiative by teaming up with native New York designer Pamela Love (you may have seen her insanely cool jewelry wares before?). Come Oct. 30, the ankle boots you see below could be yours.

"I really felt the idea of the traveler riding on their motorcycle through the Southwest summed up my brand and my personality more than anything else. I wanted to design a boot that could have been from another time, and I wanted it to feel tough," she says of her inspiration. And it shows. Between the rustic metalwork, Southwestern influence, and distressed leather, it's not hard to pinpoint where Love's head was at. We love that this low-cut rendition is just a little bit cowgirl, a little bit downtown, and, just like Love hinted, a little bit rough around the edges. Thus, it lends itself to more than one styling scenario. Wear them with a great pair of denim, top off a flirty dress and sweater combo, or look to Love for straight-from-the-source outfit fodder. And if you're looking to punch up your Fall boot collection or simply have fallen for them like we have, then preorder the Pamela collaboration style here ($299).

Scope out the Pamela Love for Nine West boot from every angle now.

Nine West Kicks It Up With a High-Heel-Inspired Perfume

Nine West is known for its stylish-yet-affordable footwear, so it makes sense that the brand would be inspired by stilettos with its first step up into the fragrance world.

Nine West is known for its stylish-yet-affordable footwear, so it makes sense that the brand would be inspired by stilettos with its first step up into the fragrance world. Coming this January will be Love Fury ($18 to $55) perfume, which will include notes of rose, jasmine, sandalwood, and amber.

But what you'll first notice about the juice is the high-heel packaging. "If you look at Nine West and our iconography of the pump, the bottle brings it full circle," Nine West's Stacy Lastrina told WWD. And to really bring it full circle, the brand will also be launching a Love Fury pointed-toe platform ($89) in conjunction with the perfume's launch. Look for the new scent, along with coordinating body lotion ($18), at Nine West and Macy's (both in stores and online).

Karen Elson for Nine West Vintage America

>> Karen Elson's particular breed of Victorian-rocker irreverence meets accessories for a limited-edition collaboration with Nine West Vintage America, now available online. Launched last night with an exclusive fete — where Elson serenaded the crowd in a country-tinged acoustic set — the collection features a jazzed-up assortment of granny boots, tapestry frame bags, and peep-toe platform wedges. “My dream of designing a collection that’s a true reflection of me has now come to life through this collaboration,” Elson explained. Infused with a bit of Dust Bowl-era grittiness, leathers are well-worn but glitterized, jewelry features oxidized metal, and bags have a distinctly antique feel. The collection is priced at $32 for jewelry to $269 for shoes. Click through to see all the pieces from the collection — plus the campaign images.

Karen Elson, supermodel, singer, songwriter, wife to White Stripes singer Jack White, and mother of two, can now add designer to her impressive resume. She is collaborating with Nine West on a Fall 2011 collection of accessories for its Vintage America line, according to WWD. While we've only seen sketches of her designs, it's said to be based on her vintage-inspired style, and we immediately thought of two editorials where Elson's style was most prominent: a Nylon shoot last June that was shot by her twin sister Kate and a Vogue shoot, shot by Annie Leibowitz, featuring her and Jack White together. Both show her love of vintage femininity and, while the model is British not American, we can see the connection to vintage Americana. Click our slideshow to see the design sketches, and get a glimpse of the British model's personal style.
