Repeat Performance: Even Olivia Wears the Same Clothes Again (and Again)
Ever had that I-hate-everything-in-my-closet feeling? If you're anything like us, of course you have. All too often that's the feeling we have when everything on our shelves feels like something we've worn too many times — but the truth is, that's not really a bad thing. Case in point: even Olivia Palermo wears and rewears the items already in her closet, as evidenced by her latest ensemble — a mix of not one, or two, but three pieces we've already seen the style star outfit more than a couple times (even as long as two years ago). While out in NYC's West Village, Miss Palermo made use of her French Sole ballet flats, leather-sleeved blazer, and marled knit sweater, all of which we've seen her wear before. There are two style lessons worth taking to heart here. The first is that it's always wise to invest in great essentials, à la Olivia, like a pair of ballet flats, a blazer, and a chunky sweater that will see you through season after season. The second lesson is a reminder to refresh the look — Olivia reinvents a casual look by injecting surprising accents, like woven, cap-toe ballet flats with a more Fall-feeling ensemble. We've recapped how Olivia's styled each of these pieces before, plus why the look works now. Click on to see how it's done, then shop the key pieces.
