The Oscars Gowns Runway vs. Red Carpet

While you can view the plethora of gorgeous gowns from last night right here on FabSugar, we found something really cool where you can view the gowns from last night vs. how they originally appeared on the runway in a side-by-side with last night's red carpet. Take Kirsten Dunst's Chanel Haute Couture gown - I think it looked better on the catwalk than on Kirsten (sorry love!). It looks better on the model because it is a shapeless dress, and she is a tiny shapeless model. One of my least favorite Chanel dresses EVER>

I actually think I like it better on Kirsten. I think she looked great (except for the too-dark lipstick).

I really enjoyed the runway pics vs the red carpet interpretation. Nice and fun.

It looks better on the model, but I still am not a fan.

I think this proves just how limited designers are in their body images...MOST of these looks don't translate on real women at all. Jennifer Hudson's dress looks really cool on that model, but she looked ridiculous in it.

I just noticed the belt on the model - ick. I'm glad Kirsten Dunst didn't wear it.

The neckline is too low - not in a fall-out-one-the-red-carpet way, but in a wow-your-boobs-are-falling-to-your-navel way.I like the skirt a lot, especially the pic of the model walking in it, they should have gone with a more simple bodice withou a droopy neckline.
