Oscars Red Carpet: Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer Hudson has had an amazing few months being the belle of every ball and I am sure she had every designer fighting to dress her for the big night. She looks stunning, the brown is a great tone for her, the ruching is hitting her in all the right spots, but what's up with her metallic jacket? Jennifer, you should have left it in the limo!

Sandra Bullock had a demin dress last year that had pockets, hers was far worse.

I had a hunch she was going to blow it for the big one, and my first thought was that she did. That jacket just did not go. But once she (wisely) took it off, I loved the dress. The twist at the bust line was gorgeous. And I love pockets in dresses, but this isn't the style for it. Sorry Jen.

She looks amazing...without the jacket. I don't mind the pockets, I actually like them. The jacket was too distracting and didn't go with the dress at all.

I saw a segment before the Oscars. She didn't pick this outfit out. That stylist guy Andre Leon Tally actually went with her & picked this entire ensemble out for her. He is supposedly some huge Oscar fashion guy. I personally did not like it. I was so happy she won though.

Dress is lovely AND I LOVE the pockets, what a cute detail to add to the rouching. I like different and this is different...I have to admit though that the jacket is a nightmarish detail. Yikes...she looks like one of the Jetsons with it on. :ROTFL:

ok OK yes the jacket is ugly but she removed it once she got inside the theater! lol. and the dress is gorgeous

HATE IT - stupid short jacket piled on the pounds which she doesnt need. why cant they leave the dress alone? and why is she POSING WITH HANDS IN THE POCKET??? wrong wrong wrong. ruin a perfectly fab dress.

Hate the jacket, and when she got up to get her award, you could see that the dress was two sizes too small for her. Her flesh was squishing out of the sides and it was really unflattering. I think she should have gotten a bigger size and just had it tailored in the waist to make it fit better.
