Oscars Red Carpet: Sarah Larson

Former cocktail waitress Sarah Larson is one lucky lady: not only is she on the arm of George Clooney, but she's also at the Oscars! But lucky doesn't necessarily equal fashionable. Her strapless Valentino Couture gown is pretty, but not Oscar-worthy. Do you agree?

She's not really famous and hasn't been in Hollywood very long. She probably doesn't have a stylist or someone to worn her that people will make fun of her if she wears that. I don't like this dress, but there were definitely worse from people who should have known better.

Well, the story in People says she's the first girl he's ever brought to the Oscars and by all accounts they were glued together all night! So he's obviously found someone that he has a connection with. And I love how he dates "real" girls, not just actresses and models... there's hope for us all ladies :) Anyway, if she doesn't manage to become Mrs. Clooney she should just change her name by deed poll to "Lucky Bitch". It suits her.

Boring....and she did seem odd on the red carpet. Not that I expected her to actually say anything but I'm thinking George could do better. Of course since she doesn't have a real job to have to get to she's perfect for him. Can be at his beck and call. But back to the dress...not right for the Oscars.

I love the pattern and color, but it would've looked better without the bottom two tiers, or ruffles, or layers, or whatever you want to call them.

When I first saw it last night on tv with her sitting down I thought it was nice. But, now I see it up close that dress is ugly to me, plain and simple. If it was in one color, I would have said it was a winner.The three colors and fabric doesn't go well together, not to mention the metallic thing going on. Maybe if it was all silver or gold. I don't believe people are jealous because they say someone's dress is ugly, this is an opinion poll. Her dress for the BAFTA was nice and everyone complimented on it, she just didn't pick a winner this time. Sheesh. She's not preggers, the bodice on the dress is bulging, even though she is slim, sphanx was needed with this gown.

I said undecided because I think the fabric is pretty and the top looks good, but the weird tier thing on the bottom does nothing for me.

I agree about the jealousy thing, I think some people are being influenced by that. Georgie's not really my type so no worries there for me. To be honest, this was my favorite dress of the night. Yes, she's trashy. Yes, the hair could have been better. But as for the dress....cheap looking??? Did any of you see the detail on that dress up close??? It is effing gorgeous. You all must have some bizarre curtains in your home because I've never seen curtains that looked like this dress. So many of the dresses were red and black and boring, just so many boring dresses at this Oscars. This and Marion Cotillard's were the best for me. More fresh looking and original than a lot of the other looks.

dress fabric, bad. weird asymentrical ruffles, really bad. bikini strap tan line when you're wearing a strapless dress, the worst.

I like it because she knew her "place" at the Oscars, much like Gisele did that year she went with Leo; she wasn't the star and didn't want to take the spotlight away from George.However, she could've worn something less matronly.
