For its second annual "Fashion Gives Back" t-shirt designing project, Glamour Magazine has summoned some of the industry's best talents: Thakoon, Erin Fetherston, Marchesa, Peter Som and Jovovich-Hawk. The tees, which will help raise funds for Malaria No More, will be featured in the October issue. Amanda Peet will model Thakoon's tee, Joy Bryant will wear Erin Fetherston's, Emily Mortimer will be clad in Marchesa's version, Ginnifer Goodwin will wear Peter Som's and Catalina Sandino Moreno will show off Jovovich-Hawk's tee.

A limited-edition run of 500 t-shirts (100 per designer) will be sold on Shopbop for $68. For every t-shirt purchased, the magazine and Malaria No More will donate three mosquito nets to women in Africa.
I'm a big fann of Milla Jovovich.
1OMG, Fab you almost gave me a heartache because for some reason when i saw your headline for the post i kept thinking that glamour will be gone like jane magazine. and i just couldn't have it, i wouldn't know how to deal with it because i love glamour magazine.
but now that i read what it is about....i think this is such a wonderful project. more reason for me to love glamour.
2$68 for 3 mosquito nets? aren't those things like $0.50? i'm disappointed and i think that's a weak way of preventing malaria. i won't be buying those t-shirts!
3Mosquito nets have to be treated with insectide for them to have any effect which could explain the cost. Plus shipping, handling etc... It's still a great cause!
4arrythmia, i couldn't agree with you more. i thought this was a great idea and would have gladly purchased a shirt, but not if that's all that they're going to do. i'll find my own charity to give to that does more with the money.
5this is great. I would participate except I'm in Australia. I agree with arrhythmia, amiemoos and nlw all to some extent - $68 IS a lot, but it's great that fashion is starting SOMEwhere. It's not just treating the mosquito nets, which, btw, are actually one of the MOST effective ways of treating malaria, but also the cost of producing, branding and marketing the t-shirts themselves, too. I still agree that they must be able to do that for less than $68 per t-shirt, though. hm. =/
6i don't like glamour. all these magazines are beginning to be the same...
7I love Glamour!
