This isn't the first time we've seen pajamas go from bedtime staple to red-carpet wear, but it may just be the best few takes on the trend. Fashion pros and celebs alike are embracing the easy separates — and while our first thought was this: if someone's giving us the opportunity to wear our comfiest sleep-time staples right out on the street, why wouldn't we?! That impulse was also checked with visions of the not-so-well-executed take on the trend that makes them look, well, more like pajamas and less like eveningwear. Fortunately, Caroline Sieber in Louis Vuitton, Rihanna in Pucci, and Elisa Sednaoui in Salvatore Ferragamo have all zeroed in on the key to pulling off these pieces perfectly (read: not so literally). • Take a cue from this styled crew and avoid flat footwear — anything like a ballet flat or flat sandal is going to look like a house slipper. Elevate the style with a pair of sexy heels to contrast the easy silhouettes and give them a dressier spin.
