Paris Fashion Week Spring 2008, Dries Van Noten: Love It or Hate It?

Dries Van Noten's latest collection didn't lack any colors or prints. Though sometimes mixing too many hues and prints can lead a look haywire, such is not the case here. The funkiness seriously appeals to me and is especially refreshing amid a sea of safe collections. Whether this look is translatable to the streets is worth debating. Do you love it or hate it?

My insane Korean mother (aren't they all?) would wear this. Heck, I think she has. THIS IS NOT A GOOD THING! Go and scope out the crazy combos that little old Asian ladies put togethor, it looks like this!! It's as if a blind child dresses them in the morning. The only thing missing is the weird sun-hat visor thing and reused plastic shopping bags from Target and Costco.

I usually like Dries van Noten, but I don't like this look. It's too California-surfer-who-stole-a-granny's-knitting-bag for me. Another early 90s throwback. Does anyone else remember those horrible board shorts that were the thing way back in 90? I think they were called Bums?

Seperately, each piece is cute. Put them together and it looks like a mess...i giant mess of paint to be exact. No es bueno. Those patterns together are a bit too busy for my taste. The purse and jewelry only make it worse and whos idea was it to add the peachy make up? Hate it! No doubt..

Love it... some of the designs are a little out there, but overall it's really fun.

i definitely don't hate it, but i also don't LOVE it either. I do like it. It's fun, different, and could easily get away with wearing it on the streets in the right area haha :)
