Paris Fashion Week Trend Report: Ankle-Strap Shoes

Hi, it's Alison Macnamara and you're watching FabFlash. For our first Paris Fashion Week Trend Report, we're highlighting one of our favorite accessories, shoes. Ankle strap shoes in all colors and shapes. We're showcased on Runway Sectional, Christian Dior and Valentino and one thing that all these designers have in common, chunky heel. Louis Vutton delivered chunky platform, double strapped, color blocked heels, decorated with metallic toe cap, textured leather and over sized pilgrim inspired buttons. These sky high heels will definitely get you noticed. Chanel went for an edgy take on the T-strap heel. Shoes were dip-dyed with an ombre effect in jewel-tone shades, ranging from opal to emerald, and were complete with a chunky lucite heel, giving them a futuristic feel. On the contrary, Valentino gave their heels a lady like spin, perfectly accessorizing their fall collection. Rounded toe pumps in black, red, and white had simple thin ankle straps giving them a barely there effect from the front, but were grounded with chunky heels in varied heights. Carbon added intrigue to a t-strap heel, by putting a double strap on the top. The color palette ranged from black to red to tan, and complimented the bold stripe pants and dresses. But the standout shoes were definitely the pattern versions, which polished off head-to-toe printed ensembles. Lastly, Christian Dior showed ankle strap heels in a variety of styles. black criss cross sandals opened the show and slowly faded into a muted palette of single strapped heels with boxy fronts that looked fit for the ballet. Some even had bows on the front. Dior also injected a playful air by adding leopard print heels to some of the shoes. So for fall, invest in a great pair of ankle strap shoes and wear them with everything from dark trousers to dresses. Thanks for watching our Paris Fashion Week's end report.
